Dr. J. Leon Gregston
A native to Oklahoma, Dr. J. Leon Gregston has practiced radiology for over 34 years, the last 15 exclusively in Breast Imaging. He received his Pre-medical education at Oklahoma Baptist University and continued his education at the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, graduating with a Doctor of Medicine degree. Dr. Gregston's internship and Radiology Residency were completed at St. Anthony's Hospital in Oklahoma City. He is Certified by the American Board of Radiology and awarded the Fellowship of the American College of Radiology.
After relocating to Springfield, MO, to start and develop the St. John's Breast Center, Dr. Gregston has spent the last 15 years there as the Medical Director of Breast Imaging. Under his leadership, the St. John's Breast Center was named to the "Top 10 Breast Centers in the U.S." by Self Magazine. Prior to moving to Missouri he was in the private practice of radiology in Oklahoma which included developing the Mammography Center of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City and the Oklahoma Mammography Group in Norman, and serving as Medical Director of both. Dr. Gregston is and has been an outspoken advocate for Screening Mammograms in both Oklahoma and Missouri for more than 25 years.
Dr. Gregston joined the Oklahoma Breast Care Center in October in a part time capacity. He and his wife reside in Springfield, and have 2 adult children and 4 grandchildren.
