What you need to know for your mobile appointment…

Wear separates, (blouse and skirt/slacks) to allow easy disrobing from the waist up. Avoid heavy use of antiperspirant and no body powder. Such chemicals can interfere with the accuracy of breast screening.
Please arrive at your appointment time and bring your doctors full name, full address (including the zip), and phone number with you to the screening. We cannot forward your report to your physician without this information!
We will also need a copy of the front and back of your current insurance card. We will file your insurance; however, please keep in mind that if this charge is applied to your deductible or has a co-pay, you will receive an invoice for this examination.
If you are under the age of 35 you will need to bring a referral from your physician with you to the screening. A faxed copy from your physician is acceptable.
If you had your last years’ mammogram done at another facility, please get those films and bring them with you to the screening. Having previous films for comparison cuts down on unnecessary follow up, and enhances the quality of your reading. We will return the films to the other facility after the films have been read.
Your films will be read by one of our radiologists who are board certified and specialize in mammography
Results of your screening will be forwarded to your personal physician within 10 working days. You will also receive a letter telling you the results of your examination within 14 days. If you have any questions concerning your results you should contact your physician, but feel free to call the Oklahoma Breast Care Center if you have any problems.
REMEMBER, high quality mammography screening, with yearly breast examination by a healthcare provider, and practicing monthly breast self-examination is your best defense against breast cancer. Be smart and always practice all three as part of your preventive healthcare life style!

Download a pdf of your patient form. You may print this form and bring it completed to your screening, with a copy of the front and back of your insurance card. We look forward to serving you!
